But one Philly fanatic bit off more than they could chew when they climbed a street pole in celebration.

In a video posted to Instagram by photographer Hugh E. Dillon, the fan is seen clinging to the pole, 15 or 20 feet from the ground, while Philadelphia police and firefighters clear the area and set up a ladder.

After some coaxing, the triumphant fan is seen carefully descending the ladder to the relief of first responders below.

It's not clear if the man was cited for the stunt, though the Philadelphia Inquirer reported at least one fan was in police custody after the festivities Sunday night.

The Phillies are set to take on the Houston Astros in game one of the World Series at Minute Maid Park on Friday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m.
